Ahead of Helen Jane Long’s tenth piano and string album, which is due for release in  2026, we present SOLUS.

The meaning of SOLUS / səʊləs means ‘unaccompanied’ or ‘alone’.  SOLUS  is a collection of solo piano pieces recorded by Helen during the unique circumstances of 2020. It reflects the introspective and often emotional experiences we faced during that time, capturing the essence of solitude and reflection through music.

Recorded away from the vibrant atmosphere of traditional recording studios, SOLUS beautifully blends creativity and tranquility from previously released songs as well as new music too.

Part One of the Solus Collection offers listeners a serene experience, providing a refuge for listeners seeking solace and space to calm a busy mind. Helen will be performing SOLUS on 16th November in Washington D.C (tick link below). Other shows include Chicago (solo) and New York (with the New York Strings Players)
